We offer secure and confidential videoconferencing sessions. With recent research showing that online counselling is as effective as in-person treatment, online therapy is becoming increasingly popular for those who live in remote areas, have time constraints.
If online counselling does not work for you, try our phone counseling service. Cut out the travel time to and from our therapy office, and attend your appointment in the comfort of your home. Our phone counselling offers the utmost convenience and comfort in counselling.

Therapy services are ONLY available to Ontario residents.
Also, in response to recent COVID-19 concerns, Shades of Therapy is ONLY offering virtual or telephone therapy sessions until further notice.
Welcome to Shades of Therapy Counselling,
Psychotherapy & Coaching!
Psychotherapy and counselling can help individuals gain self-awareness and the personal growth process. Seeking psychotherapy can be an overwhelming task, so I want to use this opportunity to applaud you for taking the first to mental wellness by visiting and reviewing our website.
Every now and then life throws a curve ball at us which could leave a person feeling confused, alone and unenthusiastic to complete daily tasks. Like George Harrison says, “It’s all in the mind”. I genuinely believe that asking for help is a sign of strength, and it means you are aware enough to take care of your mind as you do your body. Shades of Therapy is dedicated to serving, encouraging, and educating the BIPOC community about the benefits of seeking help, where and how to access it.
I work from a client centred perspective
I’m Erefaa (pronounced Eh-reh-fah), a Registered Psychotherapist, Owner/Director at Shades of Therapy. I am a compassionate and empathetic therapist with experience working with young adults, individuals, and couples on a variety of issues such as addictions, stress, anxiety, depression and trauma amongst others, from diverse backgrounds.
As your therapist, I will work with you towards making that positive change in your life.
“Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going.”
– Noam Spencer.
“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive, and will come forth later, in uglier ways”
